The Emerge Heat Wave Fashion Show in Dallas was more than just a runway — it was a full-scale celebration of creativity, music, and style. Dallas once again proved it’s a city where fashion and music collide, as the Emerge Heat Wave Fashion Show took over Vice Park Dallas on June 27 2025. The event, powered by Emerge DFW and sponsored by SweetBeat Vodka, blended high-fashion, live music, and creative networking into one unforgettable night.
I was invited as part of the SweetBeat Vodka celebrity talent team, joining founder Henry Masters, NFL athlete Parish Cox, and my sister Evannah V. Together, we walked the red carpet with the SweetBeat Vodka entourage, facing the flashes of the paparazzi before heading to our VIP section and sponsor booth. It was a surreal moment — bright lights, camera shutters, and the hum of Dallas’s creative crowd echoing through Vice Park’s open-air space.
The Heat Wave Experience at Vice Park
Vice Park Dallas, known for its rooftop views and cultural events, provided the perfect setting for Emerge’s summer-themed showcase. The “Heat Wave” edition featured swimwear and resort-wear designers from around the region, each adding bold color, texture, and innovation to the runway.
The venue came alive with music, flashing lights, and creative energy. Each model who hit the runway represented a unique perspective on summer fashion — from street-inspired swim looks to luxury resort silhouettes. Between the catwalk segments, live music performances filled the air, reinforcing Emerge’s fusion of fashion + sound + storytelling.

The SweetBeat Vodka activation was the heartbeat of the VIP experience. Guests were greeted with chilled cocktails made from the brand’s Black-owned, sugar-free premium vodka, crafted from natural sugar beets. As an ambassador and guest creator, I had the chance to highlight SweetBeat’s elegant presentation — sleek branding, delicious cocktails, and a positive message about clean, sustainable luxury.
Standing beside Henry Masters and Parish Cox on the red carpet, I felt the synergy between music, fashion, and entrepreneurship. Seeing his brand at the center of Dallas’s premier fashion showcase spoke volumes about how Black-owned businesses are defining modern luxury.

What made this event even more special was that I first met Henry Masters and the SweetBeat Vodka team months earlier at the Mermaid Summer Party at The Statler Dallas. That earlier connection opened the door for future collaborations and brought us all together again under the Emerge spotlight — this time on the red carpet and in the VIP lounge.
The night felt like a full-circle moment — from meeting at one creative gathering to standing beside them as a featured guest at another. Dallas’s creative community thrives on those organic relationships, and Emerge Heat Wave was proof of how one event can lead to new opportunities, brand partnerships, and shared growth.
The Runway and Rooftop After-Party
As the show transitioned from runway to after-party, the rooftop vibe intensified. Guests mingled under string lights, sipping cocktails while DJs kept the rhythm alive. The rooftop setting overlooked the Dallas skyline, creating a cinematic close to an already iconic night.

For me, attending as a featured creator wasn’t just another red-carpet appearance — it was a learning experience, a networking opportunity, and an artistic milestone. Being surrounded by entrepreneurs, athletes, and designers reminded me why I document these stories: they’re shaping the future of the Dallas creative landscape.
